“Where did Izzen earn money all this time?!”
“That’s…….”
“Ah. I guess since he said he came here with a mission, he must have been getting some kind of sponsorship somewhere……”
“He said he was doing stocks?”
“What?!”
This was another piece of information she hadn’t considered. Heesu, dumbfounded, asked again.
“He was making that much money from stocks?! Is that even possible?”
“I heard him mention a few times that he ‘hit the jackpot,’ as they say.”

Heesu recalled Izzen’s habit of always reading all sorts of newspapers in the morning and slammed the table in a sudden realization. Only now did all of Izzen’s actions make sense. Izzen, who was always busy reading newspapers alone, collecting and organizing data, manipulating his pad, or making calls somewhere…….
“I thought he was busy with magical girl stuff, but it was because of stocks…….”
A shocked Heesu muttered blankly at the unexpected twist.

Violen gave a bitter smile, and Heesu fell into thought again. After a long time, she muttered as if something had occurred to her.
“They say stocks ruin three generations……. This bastard, did he actually lose all his money in stocks and run away?”
“That’s not an impossible story.”
“Soon, there’ll be a red notice on the door…… and loan sharks will cling to us…….”
“Don’t think so negatively.”
“For all we know, Izzen…… could be on a shrimp boat right now, and…….”

Heesu muttered this and looked at the ceiling. Above the ceiling, all sorts of accidents and incidents she had seen and heard of that were caused by money came to mind and piled up one on top of another. Whenever that happened, humans would shudder, saying that money was indeed the scariest thing in the world. It was impossible for a demon who knew nothing of the world to comprehend that fear…….

Heesu screamed again and covered her head. She had gotten so angry, shocked, worried, and surprised that her head was numb from overload. Even in that state, all she could think about was money. Money, money, money…….

Powerless, Heesu let out a regretful sigh. The very fact that she was thinking this way was a blow to her pride, but she kept regretting grabbing Izzen by the collar and shaking him. She should have shaken him a little more gently……

As Heesu lay slumped on the sofa, Rufus came running over with something in his hands. Heesu lifelessly looked at the square object that fit perfectly in Rufus’s outstretched palm. It had a green phone image blinking on its glass front…….
“Ah, that’s my phone.”
It was her smartphone, which Heesu had forgotten about, leaving it charging because she never received calls. Heesu, who took it without thinking, pressed the call icon right away without even checking the caller.
“Hello?”
Then a familiar voice immediately barked at Heesu.
“Hey! Where are you right now?!”
At that voice, before she could even think about who it was, her lips twitched in a reflex. Not to be outdone, Heesu immediately yelled back.
“You little s**t! You’re being rude to your older sister again by saying ‘hey’……!”
“Forget it, where are you right now?! Where are you?!”
“Ah! What does it matter to you where I am?! Mind your own business!”
“Ha! I guess you’re somewhere you can’t talk about, huh?! I’ll tell Mom on you!”
At that, Heesu, who had frozen for a moment, quickly changed her expression and smiled softly.
“Oh my, Jaeha~ Where would your older sister be besides her studio apartment…….”
It was a kind tone Heesu hadn’t used with her younger brother in years. But Jaeha snorted and immediately cut her off.
“That’s f*****g hilarious. I’m in your studio apartment right now.”
“What?”
At that moment, Heesu felt her mind go completely blank.
“W-w-why are you there…….”
“Where on earth are you?! I asked your landlord, and he said you’ve been away from home for a while now?”
“Ah, no~ Jaeha, it’s not like that. Please believe me. I really was at home the whole time. But lately, it’s been strangely~ like I haven’t run into the landlord at all, you know? So that led to that kind of misunderstanding…….”

Heesu was speechless again. This time, she truly couldn’t think of anything to say. She couldn’t figure out how to handle the situation or clean up the mess, and her head was spinning so much that she felt dizzy.
