Chapter 95
Heesu had actually thought that she and Violen were in what you call a “something” relationship.
“Something,” a subtle relationship before starting a romance.
Even though she wasn’t yet sure of her own feelings, and didn’t quite know Violen’s feelings either, she believed they were on that boundary. Although the order was a bit messed up because they got physical first, she thought that if someone took a step forward, it would turn into that at any time.
But Violen’s feelings were confusing. Thinking of the possessiveness he showed with Rufus, she wondered if he liked her as a lover, but then he didn’t show such emotions afterward, making her wonder if he had just been angry for a moment. This thought solidified even more when Violen pulled Rufus into their lovemaking.
Did he just like her as his Master?
Or maybe, do demons have different views on romance than humans?
Around the time she was having such thoughts, feeling as if she were in an international romance, Heesu learned that she had to periodically have s*x with the demons who followed her as their Master. She learned that her body had to constantly go around and be embraced by someone else.
She accepted it, thinking it couldn’t be helped. Because she couldn’t abandon any of them.
But, on earth, what kind of lover would tolerate such a thing?
Therefore, Heesu erased the item “fated love” from her list of romantic ideals. It was a very sad thing. Although she tried to comfort herself by saying she had become the protagonist of a harem, it was still sad. She preferred to meet a single partner rather than a harem. Because that had been her long-cherished dream.
However, now that dream could never be realized in her lifetime.
Because of that, she also gave up on her relationship with Violen. She stopped trying to confirm something uncertain. She even organized her ambiguous feelings. She also let go of the expectations that lingered like regrets. Still, the remnants often stung and hurt.
That much was fine. If only her heart was hurting, she preferred it that way.
The problem was Violen. If Violen truly only liked her as his Master, then it was fine. And if he was completely unfazed by the current situation, she would prefer that even more.
But what if he liked her as a lover and harbored possessiveness……?
“Let’s go.”
“Huk!”
Just as Heesu’s thoughts reached that point, Violen grabbed her hand, startling her. Violen looked back at her, as if puzzled by her reaction, and asked,
“What’s wrong? Is this the first or second time I’ve held your hand?”
“N-no. Let’s just go.”
Heesu quickly shook her head. As he led her by the hand, she desperately tried to erase the confusing thoughts that had just popped into her head.
Don’t think about it. If it’s something that can’t be helped anyway, it’s better not to know.
She had to not know.

As she walked out of the ATM corner and crossed the bank lobby, a TV screen caught her eye. It was a news broadcast reporting breaking news. Seeing it, Heesu paused and stared at it with a serious expression.
“What’s wrong, Master?”
Violen, puzzled by Heesu’s behavior, tilted his head and looked at the TV screen with her.
“They say the body of a female college student who went missing recently was found in the mountains. She was completely emaciated, with no nutrients left in her body. Did she starve to death after getting lost? How pitiful…….”
Violen’s expression grew increasingly serious as he watched the news, even more so than Heesu’s.
“The police are investigating, considering the possibility of murder. If it was murder, it’s no different from starving her to death……. Either way, it’s all just pitiful. Ugh…….”
“Didn’t news come out recently about another woman being murdered?”
“Oh? Yeah. This country has a lot of crimes against women, you know.”
“That’s a big problem…….”
Violen sighed and looked at Heesu with a worried expression.
“It’s dangerous from now on, so don’t go out alone, Master.”
“Huh? I need to find a part-time job…….”
“Don’t. I’ll do manual labor if I have to.”
“I said no…….”
Heesu talked with Violen as they exited the bank. As they crossed the street and headed to the park, she saw Rufus, Alburn, and Edstan sitting side by side on a bench in the distance. They were talking to each other, and upon seeing Heesu and Violen approaching, they each waved their hands.
“Master! You’re here!”
“You’ve arrived?”
“Master, you’re here?”
At that, the attention of the people there focused on Heesu. It was a natural phenomenon for gazes to turn towards someone when people with such striking looks, who stood out even just by breathing, called out to someone. Heesu quickly averted her gaze and tried to pretend she wasn’t with them. She was afraid of being treated like an “ugly duckling” among handsome men again, like last time. Sure enough, she heard women passing by whispering.
“Oh my, she seems to know those handsome men.”
“My god…… that boy next to her is also very pretty.”
“How did four handsome men gather in one place?”
“To be accompanied by four handsome men……. I’m so jealous.”
“But the girl is a bit…….”
When the conversation reached that point, Heesu wished she could just cover her ears. Just as she was about to slowly raise her hands to cover them,
“Hmm. Well, she’s quite cute.”
“Indeed. They actually suit each other quite well.”
She heard those words. Thanks to that, Heesu’s ears perked up, and she ran to the bench in one stride.
“Guys! Am I cute?”
When she asked excitedly,
“Yes.”
“Of course.”
“Totally!”
“The best!”
More embarrassing answers than necessary came back. Heesu’s face turned red, and she waved her hands.
“No, no, not when I’m transformed, I mean my current appearance.”
At that, they all answered firmly.
“We were talking about your current appearance, though?”
“Yes, your current appearance.”
“Master is cute in both forms.”
“No. That one is pretty, but this one is cuter.”
At that, Heesu exploded in anger.
“Are you all blind?! Can you compare that appearance to this one?! Don’t try to flatter me, look at reality coldly! What’s so cute about this appearance right now……!”
