Chapter 3.10
She had to correct this right now. Having made that decision, Caitlyn spoke quietly to the Archduke.
“I was only trying to help Your Grace regain your power as quickly as possible.”
“Hah…….”
The Archduke spat out a dry laugh.
“How could I not know what’s in your head? Surely you have some scheme this time as well. Just speak honestly. I won’t kill you.”
“My scheme…… yes, I certainly have a scheme.”
Caitlyn didn’t get angry at the Archduke’s words as he openly condemned her. Considering what she had endured so far, these words were nothing.
“My younger brother will only live if you regain your power quickly. His fate has not changed yet.”
“That’s only natural.”
The Archduke snorted.
“You can’t see the divine realm with your foresight, and my power hasn’t returned to me yet.”
“……Anyway, that is the extent of my scheme. Are you satisfied?”
“As if that’s all.”
The Archduke stood up from his chair. Caitlyn, who had been looking down at him, was now looking up. She felt as if she would suffocate from the intimidation of his height.
“But it’s fine if you don’t say it.”
The Archduke’s voice was soft. Like the silence before a storm.
“I will find out eventually, and I have plenty of time.”
“…….”
“But Cathy, I must tell you this.”
The Archduke grabbed Caitlyn’s waist. His grip was strong, sure to leave fingerprints.
“I’ve had enough of you ignoring and throwing away my favors once.”
Caitlyn wanted to scream. When had she ever received a favor from the Archduke? Hadn’t she followed along well with everything he wanted until now? But what came out of her mouth was something completely different.
“……Did you act like this to that woman, my past life, as well?”
In that moment. Archduke Akbar’s attitude, which had been feigning a slight kindness, changed completely.
“No.”
His expressionless face, like a plaster mask, stared at her, but the emotion he couldn’t suppress was clearly felt in his voice.
“I treated her well. Excessively so.”
Caitlyn suddenly grew curious. Would she continue to have dreams of him treating her past self well?
‘I don’t think so.’
A god’s perspective and a human’s perspective are different. Perhaps Roxias, or Apollo, thought he had treated Cassandra well, but from her perspective, it would feel completely different.
“And so, she betrayed me.”
His hardened golden eyes swept over Caitlyn. As if he expected her to betray him in the near future as well.
“……I have no reason to betray Your Grace.”
Caitlyn was truly aggrieved. If her actual past record were like that, she would understand, but what on earth was this because of a past life?
“I know.”
A dry answer came back.
“But Cathy, the you of the past was the same.”
“Your Grace.”
Caitlyn looked at him. Praying that he wouldn’t find a single thing in her clear, reddish eyes that resembled Cassandra. But as if to spite her wish, Roxias pushed her away.
“No matter what tricks you use, I have no intention of being deceived twice.”
“Your Grace, that woman and I are…….”
“Shut your mouth. Unless you want it forced shut.”
Caitlyn swallowed hard. One thing was certain now. Cassandra was this man’s Achilles’ heel. When bringing her up, one had to be prepared for such a reaction. Roxias, who had been staring at Caitlyn, muttered to himself.
“Yes, you look a bit different when you just keep your mouth shut.”
“…….”
It was incredibly unfair, but Caitlyn couldn’t say a word. Because she realized that no matter what she said, Roxias would find fault with it.
“Keep it shut.”
How much time had passed? Roxias, who had been only staring at her, finally stood up and touched Caitlyn. Caitlyn shuddered. Because she felt an obsession in his touch that was different from usual.
Roxias kissed her eyes, ran his fingers through her hair to dishevel it, and thoroughly caressed her nose, mouth, shoulder line, and collarbone with his hands. It didn’t take long for his obsession, which had been limited to her face and shoulders, to move downward.
Roxias’s hand swept down Caitlyn’s back. Her mouth went dry. Because she couldn’t understand Roxias at all as he kissed her navel and headed further down. Caitlyn wasn’t one to know much about the acts between a man and a woman.
She might know of descriptions that appeared in passing in popular novels or things whispered in the streets, but all the details were things Roxias Akbar had taught her.
So only after Roxias’s tongue suddenly thrust into her p***y did Caitlyn grasp the situation.
‘This is…… the first night…….’
It was definitely the foreplay Roxias had given her on the first night, sucking her down there like a candy. She had forgotten it because so much had happened. And for good reason; that day had been the exception. He was always rough, and once gripped by lust, he didn’t stop until it was over, like a burning pile of firewood. But today…….
“Hngh~ahh~~”
Her head was spinning. Caitlyn thought as she rubbed her reddened eyes. This… didn’t feel quite right. Caitlyn squeezed her eyes shut, then opened them again. She couldn’t just keep her mouth shut at the unfamiliar, ticklish sensation in her lower abdomen.
