Chapter 111
Calix stopped walking and wrapped his arm around Lea’s waist. At the same time, he lightly lifted her chin and pressed his lips to hers.
During her time in the Crown Prince’s palace, they had slept together every night. Now, she had reached the point where simply touching him made her lips part on their own.
The sticky sound of their tongues mixing rang out vividly. Calix deliberately stirred up the inside of her mouth even more messily, loud enough for even ordinary people to hear.
He let her go just before her face looked like it was about to burst from not being able to breathe properly, then slowly licked his saliva from her lips with the expression of a satisfied predator.
With the two having become so close so quickly, Zion, Derek, and Eric could do nothing but watch, holding their breath.
And they saw it. The cold red eyes that glared at them warily.

“This mother of yours is with child, but you’ve both been nowhere to be seen, my children. I’m very disappointed.”
As soon as they entered the Empress’s palace, Bianca spoke quickly, as if she had been waiting for this. Calix responded softly to her words.
“Wouldn’t Father have surely taken good care of you with devotion, Mother?”
“Still, I wanted to receive congratulations from my children, too.”
Speaking in a benevolent tone, Bianca truly looked like she had become more gentle due to her pregnancy. But Lea did not believe her words.
It was suspicious, since in the past she had never once conceived, yet in this life it happened so easily.
Lea, who was briefly lost in thought, suddenly recalled her own situation. Hadn’t something she never expected also happened to her?
Could it be that her own changed circumstances had also changed Bianca’s? If that was the case, Calix’s future could become even more dangerous.
Of course, she knew he was an Esper with outstanding abilities, but that didn’t mean Espers were immortal. If he were ever poisoned, it would be a disaster.
“Lea, aren’t you happy that you’re going to have a younger sibling?”
“…Of course I’m happy, Mother.”
At Lea’s dry answer, completely lacking any feeling, Bianca’s eyes flickered briefly. But she forced herself to keep calm as she continued.
“Don’t only cherish Calix. Love your new sibling, too.”
Lea felt sick to her stomach at her mother’s behavior, starting another disgusting ‘family act’.
“Yes, I will.”
When Lea answered perfunctorily, Bianca replied as if secretly conveying something.
“But don’t get too close. Just close enough to be family, understand?”
It was obvious she had called them here to keep things in check after hearing the rumors going around. For a moment, Lea felt like a filthy sinner.
When her embarrassed expression showed clearly, faint giggles could be heard around her. Lea realized her mother had called them here just to play such a trick.
There was no way the woman who had eaten away at her self-esteem like this in the past would be any different in this life.
“I’m not even family, am I?”
As if her earlier embarrassment had been a lie, Lea replied with an expressionless face.
“…What?”
It was Bianca who was now flustered by her words. She still wanted to confirm that Lea was beneath her.
“I may be Your Majesty the Empress’s biological daughter, but I am an orphan with no registration. So please don’t force me to look after my younger sibling anymore, Your Majesty.”
Lea’s firm attitude, not wanting to be played with by Bianca’s childish tricks anymore, startled Bianca and the people around her.
And Calix as well.
“…Then, you are a very insolent stranger.”
Bianca was extremely irritated that Lea would not act as she wanted. Her eyes, which considered just throwing her out of the palace, shed their benevolent mask and flashed with malice, but before she could finish, Lea replied.
“Still, I am also a guest of His Majesty the Emperor.”
