Chapter 178
Because it was an uphill path, Lea was gasping for breath as she hurriedly climbed. Along the way, she looked back to check behind her. Fortunately, the Cantabrian soldiers were safe.

Kyle intended to kill not just the Cantabrian Espers and traitors, but also the Cantabrian Guide who was glaring at him from the front. She was a strangely bothersome woman.

At Kyle’s offer, the faces of the Cantabrian soldiers twisted. Lea’s expression darkened just as much.
It was an obvious trick. Unless someone was in total panic, anyone could tell he was lying.
But the reason Lea’s face was so grim was because a Guide had actually fallen for Kyle’s words.
Three Guides, who hadn’t transformed into animal form because they didn’t trust Lea, hurried over to Kyle’s side. They had to pass by the Cantabrian soldiers, but the soldiers did not stop them.
“Haha, these bastards are so damn funny. What’s the big deal about Guides that you go this far to protect them? They’re just enemy Guides, aren’t they?”

Lea whispered softly to Lucy and the animal-formed Guides beside her,

The animal-formed Guides, trusting Lea’s words, immediately started running at full speed. Lucy, not wanting to meet Kyle, also rushed to run.
Lea ran with the two cat werebeasts in her arms. Behind her, Kyle’s voice echoed.
“Where do you think you’re going!”
The Cantabrian soldiers tried to block him, but hands shot up from the earth and grabbed their ankles.
“Didn’t I say I’d make you a grave! Hahaha!”
Kyle felt all the frustration he’d bottled up until now melt away as he manipulated the earth to seize their ankles. Lea tried her best to avoid it, but in the end, her right ankle was caught.

Because she had been running, she fell hard. Her temple struck a rock, making her head spin. The two cat werebeasts cried and pawed at her, but Lea couldn’t get up.
A deep shadow fell over her head as she lay there, collapsed.
