Orzen applied a fine powder, typically used by noblewomen for make-up, to my face, then gently brushed my lips with a thin, paint-like brush before finally placing the veil on me.

It was a white lace veil, traditionally worn by brides at weddings.

“I can only hope that even after he takes the antidote, he will still love you.”

“Ahaha… easier said than done.”

Is it that problems become this simple after living for a thousand years? I couldn’t help but laugh at the straightforward and naive response that made my previous deep worries seem foolish.

“Believing in someone requires courage.”

As Orzen took my hand and guided me forward, the semi-transparent veil made my vision appear misty and blurred. Surprisingly, as we walked, the surroundings transformed.

The once lavish dressing room filled with thousands of outfits was replaced by a grand hallway adorned with blue flower petals on the floor.

As we passed through the hallway, an expansive central hall came into view. Along the path I walked, tables laden with abundant food and drinks were set up on either side, and familiar faces were already seated there.

“Congratulations!”

“Congratulations! I don’t know the details, but I hope you live happily!”

It was the mercenary group who had been dragged into the dragon’s lair with me. For a moment, I doubted if what I was seeing was real and lifted the veil to check again, but it was unchanged.

Not understanding the situation at all, I turned around, and Orzen explained calmly.

“A good wedding needs guests who genuinely offer their congratulations, doesn’t it? Everyone was generous enough to cooperate quickly.”

“Are you sure you’re not using magic to control them?”

Given her previous unethical remarks, I was skeptical about her true intentions. However, seeing a member of the mercenary group, who was hastily standing up and clapping with greasy hands after eating a steaming turkey leg, it seemed they were acting of their own free will rather than following orders.

“Are you alright?”

It wasn’t just me who had changed into appropriate attire for the occasion. I approached the leader of the mercenary group, who was tugging at the button of her jacket, evidently uncomfortable with it being fastened up to her neck.

The mercenary leader, who had been clapping and congratulating, responded with casual indifference.

“After the wedding, they’ll magically transport us to the requested location. It’s not a bad idea to experience something like this once. It’s quite fascinating.”

Despite the shocking events, the reaction was surprisingly calm.

“Even dragons… they’re just legendary creatures you’d hear about when your grandpa is trying to scare you into behaving. I doubt anyone would believe what we went through today if we told them… but well, as long as the request is successful, that’s what matters. But is it really possible to do such things with magic?”

Though the mercenary leader’s expression was skeptical, she seemed to take the situation with a matter-of-fact attitude, as if believing it would pass eventually.

Still, every time Orzen snapped her fingers, the ceiling changed colors and moods, much like the sky changing with the weather, and the mercenary leader observed this with childlike wonder.

I couldn’t decide whether to envy her emotional tranquility or to feel at ease knowing she remained calm. After all, she was the same person who, despite having a maid with a similar height, albeit exposed flat chest, thrusting himself upon her, she accepted it with composure.

Angel Runport, though not in a maid’s outfit, wore a dress to emphasize her beauty, and was now clapping vigorously with one hand firmly attached to Marca’s arm.

“I’ve been invited to many grand parties following the young master, but this is the first time I’ve seen a wedding of this scale and splendor. It’s truly magnificent. Congratulations!”

With flushed cheeks and enthusiastic clapping, Angel’s eyes kept darting towards the woman next to him.

“One day, I’ll also have a day where I’m beautifully dressed and make a sacred vow with someone I love, won’t I, Marca?”

“Probably.”

Except for Marca, everyone at the table understood the overt intention behind Angel’s question.

“It’s great that everyone is congratulating you so warmly.”

Regardless of the trivial human concerns, the ancient dragon, indifferent to such matters, smiled contentedly. It seemed that she was satisfied with how the guests were fulfilling their roles.
