- Why Would a Holy Knight Be Afflicted with Such a Curse?
- Chapter 59 - An Unexpected Situation
When I opened my eyes, I saw a familiar ceiling.
“…”
Familiar, but accompanied by a face not often seen in this place.
“…You’re awake.”
Celesto asked in a blunt voice.
Only then did I look around.
My room was the same as always. Hardly any furniture or decorations, no artificial scents except for the faint fragrance of oil in the bedding.
If there was anything different, it was that the texture of the bedsheet against my back was unusual, and that my old friend was in the room?
“Did I sleep long?”
“About four hours.”
“…That long?”
I asked back in a surprised voice.
I had passed out for four hours from s*x. And not even from being penetrated by a real c**k, but from fingering.
Although I do respond well to stimulation, this was a first.
While I was quietly astonished, Celesto went and brought something from one side of the room.
It was a bowl filled with lukewarm water.
As soon as I received the bowl, I put it to my lips and drank. Even as I gulped it down, my thirst wouldn’t easily subside.
Watching me, Celesto tilted the water jug to refill it.
“Haah, I thought I was going to die.”
Only after emptying the bowl twice did I set it down. A large hand immediately took it away.
Like a well-trained servant…
I looked at Celesto with a silly thought.
“Where did you find the jug and bowl? They weren’t here before.”
“In the kitchen.”
At his unenthusiastic answer, I stared blankly at Celesto.
Something about his reaction was a bit strange. It wasn’t the usual annoyed reaction he had when asked about something obvious…
Just then, Celesto spoke first.
“Are you feeling better now?”
“Huh? About what?”
“Your thirst. I asked if you’re feeling better.”
Having said that, Celesto averted his gaze slightly.
“…You spilled a lot of fluid.”
“…”
“From both above and below…”
“Aagh! Don’t say any more!”
I instinctively shrieked.
‘Ah, really…’
I clutched my head and buried my face in the blanket.
I’m not the type to feel shame about such things. Is it because the words were coming from a Holy Knight who hadn’t even received proper s*x education, let alone engage in dirty talk?
Something about the way Celesto said things was particularly embarrassing.
While I was writhing in this newfound sense of shame, Celesto quietly placed the jug on top of the cabinet where it was normally placed.
It was the exact spot where the maid usually put my water jug.
‘Hmm…’
I watched him secretly from between the blankets.
This was only Celesto’s second time at the townhouse, and his first time in my bedroom. There was no way he would have known that was where the water jug usually went.
Yet he acted like a skilled servant because of his personality.
His meticulous, almost persistent nature, and his exhausting tendency to overthink.
Those traits must have led him to search the kitchen while I was unconscious, find the frequently used jug and bowl… and further, deduce where in my room they should be placed.
‘Thinking about it that way, it kind of suits him…’
I looked at Celesto standing beside me like a servant.
Despite being far from a considerate personality, Celesto was quite attentive to what I needed.
Just as he was slipping another pillow under my head, Celesto spoke.
“When are the servants coming back?”
Still sprawled on the bed, I answered.
“Probably tomorrow evening? Since I was planning to clean up after you left, I left a generous amount of time.”
“…You thought you could clean up on your own, in this state, without even the stamina to stay conscious?”
“Someone has to do it. Are the ancestors going to clean the sheets? No, and this is the first time I’ve ever passed out like this…”
“Just tell me to do it.”
Celesto said with a somewhat dissatisfied look. I was dumbfounded and shot back.
“You? You who’ve spent a cumulative total of probably five years nagging me that I should clean up my own mess? You’re going to clean this up?”
“…I have a stake in this too.”
Celesto ran his hand through his hair, messing it up. A red flush slowly spread up his neck.
“Anyway… it doesn’t seem right to leave you alone in this state. Call someone to stay with you.”
“I’m fine.”
“You’re clearly not fine.”
“Ugh, I’ll recover on my own if I rest anyway.”
“Hey, Roarna…”
