Outside, a corridor immediately stretched ahead.

Segleninde, who had easily shaken off the smoke mixed with the high-concentration aphrodisiac, tore off and threw away the wooden dolls’ hands clinging to his shoulders and forearms. After crushing the ones attached to his ankles underfoot, he looked straight ahead and saw the woman, who had already fled far into the distance.

At the sight of her back, so fragile it seemed it would crumble if touched, he grew anxious without realizing it. He wanted to shout at her to stop right now, yet his mouth would not open, as if afraid she might fall if he did.

There should have been no reason for that.

As expected, there was something wrong with this body modeled after a human form.

[ ! WARNING ! ]

A trap has been activated!

Suddenly, the ground beneath Segleninde’s feet caved in.

The corridor floor, which had been perfectly fine when the woman crossed it, collapsed, and from below, viscous slime surged up as if it had a will of its own and wrapped around him.

Cynthia stopped, gasping for breath, and looked back.

Segleninde was trapped inside the pink slime, flailing. She clenched her fists, thinking it might have worked this time, but sure enough, he split the slime apart in one stroke, leaped high, and broke out.

‘So close!’

The second trap, which applied the slime-type, insentient creature she had used to have s*x with Segleninde in the bathroom not long ago, had failed as well. With only the edges of his clothes slightly melted, he was rushing fiercely to catch her, and she had to run away again without looking back.

When she quickly ran up the stairs that appeared at the end of the corridor, the Butcher Cook brothers waiting on the upper floor appeared.

Grrrk!

Grrrrrk!

‘Madam, hurry and run!’

As if saying that, the two brothers gripped huge kitchen knives and blocked their master’s path.

Even the swarm of Ghost Rats pouring out behind them formed a massive wall and protected Cynthia. Some of them supported her feet and swiftly moved her along.

“Thank you, everyone! Now, straight to the Moon Flower Garden!”

Squeak! Squeak squeak!

Following Cynthia’s command, the Ghost Rats carrying her on their backs moved at an even faster speed. Before long, the Butcher Cook brothers’ monstrous cries cut off behind her, and as the sound of the Ghost Rats forming the wall collapsed, Segleninde’s footsteps rapidly closed in.

Fortunately, the Ghost Rats nimbly carried Cynthia and soon entered the Moon Flower Garden.

Arriving in the dark garden where a flower like a massive full moon bloomed and spilled bright light, she climbed down from the Ghost Rats’ backs. The Ghost Rats, who had been about to scatter at once, formed a wall as before and blocked the front. At the same time, Segleninde burst through, smashing through them like bricks.

Kkeugeugeuk!

The Gorgon that burst up from the ground blocked his path, revealing its enormous eyeball and shining it on Segleninde. But before even a single strand of his hair could harden, he smashed the Gorgon’s head with his bare fist.

Cynthia used that opening to run farther away, panting. Quick footsteps brushed past her shoulders. Startled, she looked back and saw the last creatures, who had realized the mansion was in danger and rushed out, blocking Segleninde’s path.

They were none other than his clones.

“Hahaha… I cannot understand this.”

With fierce momentum, Segleninde seized the clones that were opposing him, the ones he had made himself by cutting them from his own stems, one by one. He crushed their heads, pierced their chests with his bare hands, and killed them.

Even if the control authority had been stolen, it should have been impossible for even the clones he had made using part of himself to be impossible to control and instead oppose the main body.

Just what was that woman?

Segleninde summoned his sword again, gripped it, and swung it in a long horizontal arc, cutting down the clones all at once. When he lifted his head, Cynthia had already reached the flower blooming as brightly as a full moon.

The woman’s face, touched by the pure white light, looked especially clear. Looking at him, she moved her plump lips and whispered something. Why, she seemed to say. Her troubled, distorted eyes, the pale gray irises wavering within them, her tousled red hair, and her cheeks flushed from running for so long.

Ah, now he understood a little. What that woman had been aiming for when she stole control of his mansion.

“Haha, those damn bastards.”

To him, the concept of beauty and ugliness as living creatures understood it was still difficult to grasp, but didn’t that woman possess an especially outstanding appearance among the organic beings that lived upon the earth? Among mere soft lumps of flesh, her form particularly resembled a rose.

Therefore, it was clear that those priests, who had played all sorts of tricks while he slept, had sent her as a sacrifice.
