Chapter 27
Who could have imagined it? The Emperor, asking her for permission.
“Please, Edin. I can’t take it anymore.”
The moment Lysei assented, the tip of his ph4llus parted her folds and began to enter.
“Hngh!”
She’d thought she was used to it, but the pain of being forced open, not fully prepared, shot through her body.
“Ah!”
Edin stopped, taking a deep breath at her unrestrained cry of pain as she arched her neck back. He was in agony himself, his half-buried p4nis gripped as if it might be severed. Concerned by Lysei’s evident distress, he began to withdraw, thinking to prepare her better. But Lysei wrapped her arms around his neck.
“Just…ngh…all the way…please.”
At her words, his restraint snapped. The intention to withdraw and ease her further vanished. With her plea still echoing, he thrust his hips forward with all his might.
“Agh!”
The force of his thrust drove him deep, his engorged length swelling within her. The stretched entrance burned and throbbed. A sharp pain shot through her lower back. Yet, deep inside, a nascent pleasure pulsed, leaving her wanting more.
Fully embedded, Edin held Lysei close, nuzzling his face against hers. A faint wave of pleasure washed over Lysei.
Her heart pounded relentlessly. She had made love with countless men, and surely, this heart-stopping thrill had occurred before. Edin wasn’t unique in that regard.
Yet, witnessing the impatient—no, the unnecessarily patient Emperor of the Empire, holding back his own pleasure to caress her gently and tenderly, she found herself falling for him.
Anxious that his hasty entry had caused her pain, Edin peppered her skin with kisses, his hand gently stroking the sensitive flesh that held him so tightly. He occasionally kneaded her peaches, seemingly a way to soothe his own escalating desire.
“You can move now…” Lysei murmured, stroking Edin’s silken hair as he continued to brand her chest with kisses.
Edin lifted his head, pressing a kiss to her jaw, his voice a low, resonant rumble. “It still hurts, doesn’t it?”
Those words tugged at her heartstrings. How could a person change so drastically? Their first time together, he’d been devoid of consideration, focused solely on his own gratification, indifferent to her pain. He’d been raised that way, taught that way, and had always behaved that way—a man of his position. And now, he was showing consideration.
A man who had never learned restraint in over twenty years of life was showing incredible tenderness, solely for her. It was impossible not to question it.
“Edin.”
“Hmm?”
“…Do you love me…?”
Edin’s eyes widened. Love…? What was that? Raised as the Sun of the Empire, he had never experienced love. Never received it, never learned to give it. Even his own mother, fearing for her life, had abandoned him, only to be executed for her attempt to flee. Despite that, he was a man of compassion, searching tirelessly for her remains, driven by a filial duty he barely understood. He was kind, he was warm, but he simply didn’t know love.
“Is this…?” he asked, genuinely unsure, his expression a mixture of confusion and inquiry. Is this love?
And then, as he gazed at her, flushed with ar0usal, her body clenching around him, he felt an overwhelming surge of emotion. ‘Ah, so this is love…’
“Perhaps…” Edin murmured, gently caressing Lysei’s cheek. “Perhaps I do love you.”
* * *
Lysei felt as if her heart would burst. No, her body felt as if it would burst first. Edin held her in a suffocating embrace, showering her with fervent kisses. She couldn’t think straight. She tried to turn her head, gasping for breath, but his lips followed, nipping, sucking, and licking, devouring her in a consuming kiss.
With each powerful thrust of his hips, Lysei couldn’t contain her cries.
“Oof! Hngh! Mmm! Haa!”
Edin, seemingly awakened to his feelings, unleashed a frighteningly intense and possessive passion. He refused to release her lips, his arms locked around her, his rhythm relentless.
‘Is this alright?’ she wondered. ‘Should I have asked him if he loved me?’ Even as pleasure washed over her, a sliver of worry pierced through. The dark, possessive obsession she’d read about in the original story was now directed at her. ‘Will everything be okay?’
‘What about the original story? What about the Empire’s peace? Should I really make Edin mine?’
