Chapter 70
“What?”
“I was too flustered to really look before. If I like what I see…hic, I’ll think about doing it with you. Ahahaha.”
Seikan stared intently at my face as I laughed like a screw was loose. Seeing that composed face of his looking bewildered—why did I find it so funny? Hehe.
“…You’re truly very drunk. Helion, just how much did Adelina drink?”
Helion, who for some reason was sweating, answered immediately.
“Five glasses, in this.”
“Five glasses in this? Does that much even fit in that small body?”
Clovis frowned, lifting the heavy glass with one finger.
“I can hold more. So…oh dear.”
I tried to get up, grabbing at abs that looked laundry-fresh, but slipped and fell right on top of Helion. My arms, floppy as squid tentacles, couldn’t support my weight.
“Mister! Where’d you go! More drinks, please!”
Drinks, I said, drinks! I came here to drink, but where did the owner go without giving me more? I need to drink. I don’t have many days left to do this.
“Lina. Stop. I think you’ve had enough. You’ve drunk a lot, haven’t you? Hmm?”
When Helion spoke, the part of my face pressed against him vibrated. Oh, it wasn’t a wall, it was Helion’s chest. It felt nice, but thinking of it as Helion’s chest annoyed me. Ugh!
I slapped Helion’s chest and pulled back. But the ground of the imperial capital, still swaying despite its exorbitant price tag, made me wobble.
“I can’t watch this anymore.”
Suddenly, my arm was yanked. Pulled upright, I stumbled against another wall. This time, a smooth, navy-blue one.
What is this now?
“Why? Should I take my clothes off too?”
As I fumbled with my hand, Clovis’s voice resonated near my ear. I looked up to meet his golden eyes, clearly angry yet tinged with a subtle anticipation.
I raised my hand and answered loudly, “Yes!”
Take them off! Now!
As my eyes sparkled with anticipation, Seikan intervened.
“Adelina. What’s gotten into you? You really want His Highness to…to…take his clothes off…?”
“Yes. I want to see!”
Hic. A belated hiccup made my words sound like an overly enthusiastic declaration.
Seikan was speechless with bewilderment. He was so taken aback that his grip on my arm loosened, and I easily pulled free.
Buzz off if you’re not going to strip too.
Glaring at Seikan, I clung to Clovis and grinned.
“Hic. Will you really take them off?”
Clovis, who had been teasing me, asking if he should strip too, changed his expression when I clung to him. His face, now devoid of humor, looked as if he were experiencing a sudden, intense thirst.
“Lina.”
Helion, rising to his feet in an awkward stance, tried to stop me, but Clovis, looking directly at me, grasped his own lapel.
“…I’ll take them off. Gladly.”
Throughout the process of unbuttoning and removing his clothes with precise movements, Clovis’s eyes remained fixed on me.
I couldn’t stop the corners of my mouth from turning up as I watched his bare skin gradually revealed.
As Clovis tossed aside his outer garments and then his shirt, the muscles sculpted across his beautiful physique came into magnificent view.
“Should I take off the rest? Now that I’ve undressed, are you going to do to me what you did to the Marquis?”
Clovis taunted me playfully. However, when I grabbed his veined forearm, I could tell he was trembling ever so slightly.
Looking up at Clovis, who was frowning, I slowly curved my eyes. His forearm twitched beneath my palm.
I lowered my head and pressed my lips against his skin. The warmth of his soft skin beneath my lips, the hot blood flowing beneath, told me everything.
“Lina…you…”
Helion, his voice filled with what sounded like betrayal, started to speak but then stopped. Seeing Seikan clench his fists, and feeling Clovis’s body tense, I bit down on Clovis’s forearm with all my might!
Drop dead, you jerk!
***
Stories of people getting blackout drunk, acting foolishly, and then waking up the next morning to beat their pillows in regret were beyond my comprehension.
Until yesterday.
“…Crazy.”
Crazy. I’m crazy.
Hahahahaha.
Sprawled on the bed, I stared at the ceiling and laughed like a lunatic.
My memory ended abruptly after I bit Clovis hard enough to tear his flesh, yelled at Seikan to strip too or I’d bite him as well, clawed at him furiously, and headbutted Helion in the chin as he tried to lift me from behind.
Thinking back, I think I started getting drunk after the third glass.
Past the fourth, my mouth seemed to move on its own, possessed by something.
Still, to think I’d actually try to bite Clovis.
That jerk, he’s lucky he didn’t kill me.
I got so drunk I blacked out for the first time in my life, and I woke up in bed, which meant I hadn’t been dragged off to jail.
“You weren’t crazy. But it was quite a novel experience to see someone who went out saying they were going to throw money around come home drunk and carried by someone else.”
