“This is where our memories live. I don’t want others joining us here.”

“If others’ happiness adds to the happy memories here, wouldn’t that be even better?”

More than anything, Bartsch needed a place like this now.

Actually, Boestin had asked her for help because she also believed there was no place more captivating as a tourist spot than Bromley.

“I don’t want this place to become noisy. People’s greed is boundless. They’ll never leave Bromley alone.”

“We just need to keep it as a place for relaxation.”

“If a train station is built, even that will be difficult.”

“That may be true, but if many people see its beauty and share it with others, Bromley might become Bartsch’s landmark.”

Perhaps they wanted to preserve Bromley’s beauty just as it was.

“Do you want me to sell this place?”

“No way. Is all this land really yours?”

It was unexpected. She knew he’d bought the town house and nearby land, but she didn’t realize he’d purchased all the sea-view land in Bromley.

“I thought you’d like it.”

“Oh my.”

“This is my gift to you. So I can’t sell it to anyone else.”

“Then how about this? You don’t have to sell it. Just lend it out.”

If restrictions were in place, Bromley could remain unspoiled and still be known as a symbol of Bartsch.

“This is where Eckart was born. I want it to be a beloved place.”

She hoped it would be a place where people could share memories when Eckart returned someday.

“I can’t resist. I’ll do it.”

“Thank you.”

Emilia wrapped her arms around Mikhail’s neck and kissed his cheek.

❖ ❖ ❖

A small party was held in Bromley.

“That’s perfect.”

Boestin looked satisfied as she directed everyone with precision.

Emilia held Eckart, quietly watching the garden being decorated extravagantly.

“Sister Boestin, you’re overdoing it.”

Dahlia shouted, unable to hold back.

“What do you mean? Many will come to Bromley, so we must make it beautiful.”

“Isn’t it more to showcase Bromley’s beauty rather than just for me?”

“We’re aiming for both.”

Boestin smiled slyly. Byne seemed to have made up his mind and proposed to Dahlia.

Though he thought Dahlia would refuse once, she accepted immediately, and the wedding was planned quickly.

Boestin suggested using this opportunity to naturally promote Bromley by inviting guests.

Dahlia agreed, and so a small party was set to be held at the estate. Thanks to this, the usually quiet town house became lively and bustling.

“Kartho, tell everyone to get moving. It’s almost time.”

“Miss Boestin, this is enough.”

Kartho actually tried to stop her, and Mikhail clicked his tongue, turning his head.

Tables adorned with floral decorations were set in the garden, laden with food.

As people began to arrive one by one, the town house buzzed with energy.

Marquis Gepetto arrived a day early and sorted out capital matters with Mikhail. He raised his wine glass, watching the busy guests, and asked Mikhail.

“Was your mind changed because of Madam Heinrich?”

“You know well. I won’t allow reckless development. I want this to be a place to rest.”

He didn’t deny it; everything he did was for Emilia.

“I’ve passed on the message. By the way, Bromley really is beautiful.”

“I found it by chance.”

Mikhail smiled bitterly. He had first encountered Bromley after losing his way during childhood with his parents.

There was no one else besides them. His father immediately built a mansion here, quietly, without others knowing. It took quite some time to complete the town house.

And this became a secret estate known only to Mikhail.

He wanted the memories he cherished to remain untouched. Traces of his father and mother were everywhere.

“Mikhail, if you ever have someone you want to share your memories with, bring them here.”

“This is our family’s secret estate. I don’t want it disturbed.”

“It won’t be disturbed. Memories will just accumulate. If it’s someone you want to bring, we’ll welcome them warmly.”

“Then it’s no longer a secret estate.”

“A place full of happiness shared with others only multiplies that happiness. Don’t be afraid to share.”

“I still won’t bring anyone else to the place I came with my parents.”

“When you find someone you want to protect and share happiness with, that will change.”

At the time, he hadn’t understood his father’s words. Now, he thought he might.

When you love someone, you want to give them everything—no matter what.

He was willing to risk his life for Emilia and their child.

“…We shouldn’t be afraid to share.”

Since happiness grows by sharing, the joy will only multiply.

Bromley held memories of both him and Emilia.

More than that, he’d brought her to a place he once thought he’d never return to— together with those who had become his family.

Mikhail smiled softly and lowered his gaze from the sky.

“Is the capital still noisy?”
