Yes, despite the prince’s awful proposal, Camilli and Wyner had been childhood sweethearts, knowing each other for nearly ten years. Cutting that bond so abruptly might have been unreasonable.

“It’s the incense I burn in the study. Seems you visited there too. May I ask why?”

He hadn’t asked why I was in the bedroom but suddenly he’d found out I’d been in the study as well.
