Chapter 30
▷ Please Be Honest With Your Desires
Cassius staggered out of the laboratory, climbed the stairs, and made his way up to the very top floor. His cheeks, which he covered with one hand, were flushed as red as ripe apples, and the front of his trousers, barely concealed beneath his robe, was so taut it looked ready to burst.
Grumbling under his breath, Cassius entered his quarters at the top of the Thousand Dog Tower.
The door slammed shut with a thud, and only then did he release his hand from his mouth and exhale shakily. Afterward, Cassius irritably tossed his robe onto the floor and sat down heavily on the bed.
“…Haa.”
Unlike Eki’s room, which was charming in its own way despite being plastered with posters of handsome men and beautiful women, Cassius’s chamber was cluttered with hundreds of magical tools, circles, and tomes. If Eki saw it, she’d probably nag him with a ‘Master! You should at least tidy up a little!’
Cassius ran his gaze over the geometric sigils covering the walls, floor, and table of his room, then hunched forward and covered his eyes with one hand. As his upper body leaned down, the noticeable bulge between his legs pressed tight, standing out even more.
A low, strained sound escaped his throat.
Each time the fabric brushed him, his aroused s*x throbbed painfully. He clenched his teeth and loosened his belt, lowering the waist of his trousers slightly. The heat beneath the fabric throbbed sharply, the tension almost painful.
“Damn it…”
He swore again under his breath. After staring down at his twitching flushed member for a long time, he finally pulled the fabric back into place and rubbed his face in frustration.
The truth was, letting Eki rest on his lap last night hadn’t been his intention.
It must have been around three in the morning. He hadn’t wanted to wake his sleeping disciple, but he’d needed assistance for his work. The moment he reached out, however, Eki suddenly grabbed his hand and wouldn’t let go. Cassius had tried several times to shake her awake, scolding her in the process…
‘Hehe. Masteeer.’
She’d mumbled it in her sleep, her voice laced with childish sweetness.
He’d seen her pull that kind of cutesy act countless times whenever she wanted something, but even after seven years of living together, he still wasn’t immune to her endearing voice.
Cassius froze on the spot for nearly ten minutes before deciding to let her sleep.
Asleep on his thigh, Eki shifted and grabbed his hand. His hand almost fell onto her chest, but he hurriedly pulled it back. She frowned and, whether it was because of that cursed luck potion or something else, suddenly yanked him toward her. Caught off guard, Cassius couldn’t even cry out as they both toppled to the floor, with him reflexively wrapping his arms around her.
Even after they landed with a crash, Eki only muttered a little in her sleep and kept on dozing peacefully. Perhaps his body had cushioned her like a pillow. Cassius clenched his teeth, intending to wake her, but then realized how compromising their position looked and went still.
He gently laid her back down on his lap so as not to wake her.
Imagine it. A master several centuries older, rolling around the floor while holding his sleeping young disciple. The thought alone made his blood run cold. Cassius wanted no such disgraceful misunderstanding.
So after confirming that Eki was sound asleep, he tried to slip away quietly. But, of course, that damned luck potion was still at work. Every time he tried to lift her head from his knee, Eki would whimper and stir.
In the end, his face burning bright red, Cassius had to give up and simply stay put. He waited for another chance to escape… and somewhere in between, exhaustion claimed him, too.
‘Never again. I’m never dealing with a luck potion ever again.’
Cassius snapped his fingers, summoning a long-stemmed pipe. With practiced ease, he brought the mouthpiece to his lips and lit it.
He tried to focus on the faint, bitter aroma. But all he could think of was the soft warmth of her lips had brushed his skin, and that sensation still lingered.
“…Damn it.”
He finally set the pipe aside.
His breathing uneven, Cassius glanced down. The heat still hadn’t faded. Even the smallest movement caused uncomfortable friction that made him grit his teeth.
For someone like Cassius—who, for hundreds of years, had never once indulged in anything carnal—the sensations Eki had stirred in him were far too overwhelming. She had touched him, clumsily brushed against him, and even witnessed him lose control.
His fingertips trembled, and instead of disgust, a faint ecstasy still remained.
