Chapter 10.1
“Cough, cough.”
Roel sits up, wiping the sweat from his face with his sleeve while exhaling rough breaths.
“Damn this body. Kuk. Haah.”
Clutching his chest and leaning his back against the headrest, he breathes heavily and flinches his emaciated body at another dry cough.
“Hoo.”
Once he regains some stability, Roel looks out the window as it gradually brightens.
“Damn it, my twin brother has taken a rabbit therianthrope as his Empress? Cough, cough, hack, wheeze!”
Spitting bright red blood and staring at the ceiling with an exhausted expression, Roel bursts into a hollow laugh.
“Her name was… Elena Harus?”
Roel reaches out and grasps the mirror placed on the shelf.
A mirror that reflects everything that exists in the world. This mirror was everything to Roel, who was too weak to even leave his room.
It was a gift given by his mother, who apologized for not giving birth to him healthy, her first and last present. Roel wipes the slightly dusty mirror with his sleeve and speaks.
“Show me Elena Harus.”
Kiing.
The mirror that had reflected nothing emits a light so powerful that he cannot open his eyes at the sound of Roel’s voice.
“Kuk.”
Roel, who had kept his eyes tightly shut until the light subsided, opens them as the light gradually fades, and could see the woman reflected in the mirror.
“So this woman is Elena Harus. The rabbit therianthrope princess.”
Roel’s eyes first went to her petite yet voluptuous figure. Then to her face.
“Come to think of it, this princess is said to be so beautiful that she’s rumored to be the most beautiful in the continent.”
Roel had thought how beautiful could a rabbit therianthrope princess who was just a mouthful be, but seeing the princess’s actual appearance now, he understood immediately.
“It wasn’t a false rumor. Lucael. You’re a man too, aren’t you?”
Giggling, Roel feels chest pain and puts the mirror down beside him, lying on the bed.
“Lucael. You took everything from me. Parents’ love and the emperor’s throne. If only I were as healthy as you.”
As bloodshot eyes appear, his reddened eyes were chilling just to look at.
“Child, Roel. I’m sorry. This mother is truly sorry.”
As his mother’s words, who became a sinner every time she looked at him, echoed in his ears, Roel burst into laughter.
“If you were that sorry, you should have taken out Lucael’s heart to save me. Abominable mother.”
Just once, he had been given a chance to be free from his illness.
An old woman who claimed to cure any disease came and offered one solution. It was to implant the heart of a twin born on the same day, at the same time.
If not, the old woman said he would live in pain forever, unable to die, but his parents did not readily agree.
Just saying sorry and nothing else.
The parents who always lived like sinners to him are now gone.
His mother, who lived more like a sinner than anyone, died of illness when Roel was 10, and his father, who became the former emperor, also lived in grief after losing his beloved wife and departed to his mother’s side 9 years ago.
Roel wasn’t particularly sad about his parents’ deaths.
The death of parents who could have saved him but didn’t – he had no reason to be sad about that.
“Elena Harus…”
Roel repeats the name of the woman visible in the mirror placed beside him with his parched lips.
A woman who catches his eye the more he looks at her. Strangely, looking at her made him feel like energy was welling up inside him.
“If only I could move freely, this woman would be the first. Cough hack wheeze gasp!”
Clutching his chest and spitting blood, Roel bursts into hollow laughter as he stares at the ceiling with an exhausted expression.
“I will definitely take it back. And I will take everything.”
With eyes full of murderous intent staring at the ceiling, he continues his lonely fight alone again.

Elena, who opened her eyes with a start, first examined her own body. Then she covered her flushed face with both hands and bowed her head deeply.
“Wh-why! Why did I dream such a thing?! Why!”
Muttering to herself, Elena raised her confused face. Somewhat rough breaths escape through her slightly parted lips.
“They say unconscious thoughts sometimes appear in dreams… Di-did I?! N-no! I! I! Never! I never thought about doing such things with the wolf emperor!”
Wrapping her head with both hands and desperately shaking her head, Elena remembered it again. The vivid image from her dream of the wolf emperor mounting her body, licking, biting, and sucking her protruding b*****s while calling her name, and the male reproductive organ she had only seen in books.
As she vividly recalled him rubbing that thick, long pillar-like thing against her lower body and enjoying it immensely, Elena buried her face in the pillow with a short scream.
‘I-I’m crazy! Definitely crazy! Why, why such a dream!!! Am I perhaps like that? S-sexually frustrated! I’m not an animal! Oh, I am a therianthrope.’
Elena sits up and stares at the ceiling.
“Now I barely remember my memories of living as a human. The only things I remember are.”
As memories she didn’t want to remember at all slightly surfaced, Elena’s brow furrowed.
“Let’s stop thinking about it now. I’m extremely satisfied with my current life, even though I was born as a rabbit therianthrope and got married to the wolf emperor as soon as I became an adult, but still…”
Unlike the brutal rumors of him being a ruthless tyrant, the wolf emperor was an extremely affectionate and infinitely gentle man.
“Now he’s my husband too.”
As the emperor’s smiling face toward her came to mind, Elena’s face flushed.
“Why is my heart pounding so much?”
Elena placed her hand on her chest, which was beating faster than usual, and took a deep breath in and out.
“Now I’m calming down a bit.”
Knock knock.
“Eli, are you awake?”
“Ah! Yes!”
“Good morning.”
As Elena was about to greet the wolf emperor who entered the room with a bright smile, her face flushed when his face overlapped with the one who had explored her in the dream.
‘Why! Why am I thinking about it!’
“Eli? Your face is red. Are you sick somewhere?”
“N-no, I’m not sick… gasp!”
