Chapter 33
“Mmgh…!”
As a loud noise threatened to escape, Fay hastily covered her mouth.
“Fay, it’s me!”
Zynie had sharp ears. She was sure she’d heard something inside and began pounding on the door.
“Sorry for dropping by so early, but something’s come up! Virelda’s been going on about the north tower, so you need to be at the castle for a while.”
Having Zynie show up unannounced was bad enough—but the issue she’d brought with her was even worse. Fay had run into Virelda at the castle a few times since that night, but since nothing had been said, she’d assumed she was in the clear. Apparently, it was too easy to hope for.
I should have known. Fay bit her lip.
“If you have the book, just tell me. We can sneak it back up to the north tower together, before Virelda finds out!”
I’m sorry, Zynie… The contents of the book have all disappeared, so I can’t.
Fay apologized silently, wishing she could explain everything and confess properly.
But the man holding her down from behind didn’t seem interested in letting her go. In fact, he was still inside her, matching the rhythm of his thrusts to Zynie’s pounding on the door.
“It’s not that I don’t trust you, Fay, but Virelda’s been saying weird things—something about summoning an invoked, or doing something to the doll.”
“…..”
“Honestly, it’s ridiculous. If you’d managed a summoning, you would’ve told me.
“…..”
“Right?”
Zynie’s voice was turning more and more dejected through the door.
Fay hadn’t brought up Alnazir at all, mostly because the timing had never felt right. Zynie was always busy with errands around the castle, and Fay herself was too worried about leaving the house for long, thanks to a certain someone.
Back then, Alnazir had felt like a genuinely dangerous creature. Of course, even now he was a beast who hardly ever listened to a word she said…
“Don’t squeeze so tight, witch. You’re going to hurt yourself.”
His gentle caress on her hips and waist, at least, didn’t feel like a threat to her life.
“Stop, stop… If you don’t, we’ll get caught!”
She whispered as softly as she could, desperate not to be heard outside. Alnazir finally seemed to notice the noise from the hallway and glanced over at the door.
“Is there any reason we shouldn’t get caught? You do look rather vulnerable right now, but after all, she’s only human.”
“That’s not what I’m worried about…!”
He really didn’t get it. Perhaps that was just how octopuses were. Fay’s anxiety made her tense up even more. The thought of being caught naked and tangled up with a man was mortifying.
Besides, Zynie was barely twenty, still just a kid in Fay’s eyes, even if she insisted she was an adult by witch standards.
She had to do something to stop Alnazir. While she was scrambling for a plan, she heard the doorknob rattle.
“Locked…”
Thank goodness she’d remembered to lock up the night before. But that didn’t mean she was safe—Zynie still had a spare key from when they’d lived together.
“Witch, you’re squeezing too hard. If you keep this up, I might just c*m inside. Is that what you want?”
Alnazir murmured in a low voice. It seemed he was having a hard time too, with how tight she’d gotten.
“No!”
He leaned down and pressed a kiss to her lips, telling her to relax as he did. There was something sweet and almost addictive about her taste; if he had the time, he felt he could just keep kissing her forever.
She twisted her head away as he kept kissing her, exhaling in a long breath as she tried to loosen up.
“Now, mm, now can you pull out?”
Watching her take slow, calming breaths, his gaze narrowed in amusement.
“No.”
He started moving again. The unexpected thrust made her whole body tremble, a jolt of electricity shooting through her.
Thankfully, she managed to stifle her next sound with her hand.
“Did I bring my key…?”
Just as Fay was on the verge of climax, the worst-case scenario started unfolding. Zynie fished around in her pocket, and Fay tensed up all over again.
“Not here.”
If only Zynie would just give up and leave—but soon, Fay heard her footsteps coming around the side of the house.
The curtains! Fay’s eyes darted to the window, frozen in place as the realization hit her.
“The curtains. Alnazir, please—close the curtains!”
“Why are you embarrassed to be seen by a human?”
“Just do it, please!”
