Chapter 2.26
The snake-shaped pattern left on his lower body after he had been possessed by a demon and had that accident with Levi.
Demian had tried every possible method to erase it, but that unpleasant mark only grew larger and darker.
Now it was annoying and bothersome that it had grown like a dragon rather than a snake and remained like a permanent tattoo, but there had been a shocking incident yesterday.
“W-why all of a sudden…….”
From that pattern covering half of his body, the same Demonic Energy that had possessed him back then had begun to flow out.
It was completely colorless and scentless, but the effect of suddenly making his body heat up was identical.
Since his body had suddenly reacted while he was about to have a meeting regarding the Goddess’s Advent Festival next month, he felt a great deal of guilt, as if he had committed a most sacrilegious sin.
Only then did Demian change his mind.
He decided he needed to have a talk with Levi Heron, the other party involved, to resolve this situation.
“Then Lady Rainer, shall we go together for a moment? You can rest assured, as I know this wasn’t something you were involved in.”
Frid helped Ayla into the carriage brought by the holy knights and then looked at Levi. Since she was the victim of the attack, there was plenty of justification to take her along.
As he had been thinking about wanting to have tea and talk with her, his moment of hesitation was brief.
“Then Lady Heron as well…….”
However, Demian spoke up before Frid could.
“Lady Heron is coming with me for a moment. The attack on the Sword of the Imperial Family is quite a serious matter.”
“……Excuse me?”
Levi was already avoiding Demian’s gaze because she kept remembering the hot time they had spent together.
Whether she was flustered or not, those watching began to whisper.
‘Didn’t Lord Frid just call for Lady Heron as well?’
‘Even if he intends to discuss security issues with the heir of the Heron family, this is a bit much.’
It clearly looked as if Demian was snatching away the woman Frid had called first.
Those who had been bored because the picnic was canceled and they couldn’t find anything to gossip about let their eyes sparkle.
Sensing those gazes, Frid pushed aside his disappointment and settled the situation. He had no desire to become a topic of conversation for those with light lips.
“Then, Brother, please look after Lady Heron.”
As Frid disappeared with the holy knights, Ayla, and Luge, the onlookers who had been huddled together and talking noisily also scattered.
It was because they knew that Demian Yvelun was not someone you could just watch out of curiosity.
‘No, don’t go……!’
Levi felt like grabbing the onlookers, thinking it would be awkward to be alone with him.
However, the surroundings became quiet as if they had never been noisy, and Demian guided her toward the tea house inside the Academy.
In that space, where several layers of soundproofing spell were cast, Demian spoke first.
“Don’t worry, requesting this conversation isn’t out of private interest. There’s just something I want to ask the Lady.”
If Demian was going to ask only her, and in such a secret place—
‘Does he remember what happened that day?’
Of all things, the sofa she was sitting on now was the very same sofa where they had that accident.
Just as Levi desperately ignored the feast of flesh unfolding in her mind, Demian also spoke as calmly as possible.
“I want to ask you about the snake—no, the dragon on my lower body.”
“……Excuse me?”
Levi was momentarily speechless at his overflowing confidence. She couldn’t understand what had gone wrong for Demian to remember that time when there was nothing but lust.
Moreover, it was embarrassing enough for him to refer to his member as a ‘snake on his lower body,’ but for him to go out of his way to correct it to a ‘dragon.’
‘Sure, the keyword’s #UnrivaledMan…… but is all that confidence really necessary?’
Of course, Levi didn’t think his self-praise was groundless confidence or bluster.
The more she recalled the moment they rubbed their skin together while possessed by the demon, the more she realized Demian had a right to be arrogant.
Even though she must have been the first person he slept with because he maintained a pure image, there was nothing lacking, from his stamina to his technique.
‘Does he think a dragon suits him better than a snake?’
If the person she was talking to had been an ordinary man, she would have laughed it off, asking why he was referring to it like that.
But the person she was facing was the 1st Prince, who was obsessively concerned with managing his image.
Would it be wise to brush it off by asking why he would express it that way to a man who wanted to be perfect ‘in every way,’ quite literally?
‘He’s the man who even started a rebellion—who knows what kind of fault he’ll find if things go wrong.’
