Chapter 110
Evelyn’s face didn’t even have a chance to flush prettily—it burned scarlet, radiating heat in waves. As if delighted by this, Cassis’ lips left her cheek and returned to the front, biting her upper lip before rolling over it again with his tongue.
Hot. Her lips were already red from the blood beneath them, but the moment they touched, a new heat surged from somewhere deep, tormenting her. As if harboring some grudge against her upper lip, Cassis sucked it into her mouth, crushing and savoring it with wet, obscene noises.
Her throat convulsed as she gasped for the breath she’d been deprived of, and only then did he finally release her lip. Their mouths still hovered close, but Evelyn, sensing he would continue if she didn’t stop him, managed to speak haltingly.
“W-wait… M-my l-lord, wh-where… did you… c-come from…?”
“None of your business.”
The moment her ragged breaths slowed, his lips were on her again, exploring. They trailed down the bridge of her nose before claiming her right cheek—a spot he hadn’t yet tasted.
If someone were to ask what kind of kiss this was, most would say it was the kind where the other person musters all their courage to confess their affection—a sweet, endearing gesture. That’s how it usually went.
But Cassis’ kiss was nothing like that. He licked her cheek, rough and thorough, like a beast marking its prey. His arm around her waist remained tender, but Evelyn was lost in the sharp, intoxicating sensation of her flesh being devoured by his lips, bite by bite.
I’m… falling… deeper…
Her thoughts, like her panting breaths between his kisses, fractured into pieces, unable to form a complete thread.
Everything that made her her was being undone. Her thoughts, her body, even the breaths scattering between their lips. Nike’s warning—don’t struggle once you’re drowning in him, that river, that ocean—had long been swept away. Evelyn shuddered as if hearing the roar of a raging current in her ears, her body writhing, trying to pull back.
The heat that started in her cheeks quickly spread through her entire body, leaving not a single fingertip still, making her tremble uncontrollably. By the time his lips descended slowly, realizing how sensitive Evelyn had become, the sound of chatter reached them from dangerously close behind.
“…I see.”
“Right. Hey, do you know about that thing? Soon, they’re gonna…”
“…!”
The flushed redness of her face instantly drained into a sickly pallor. As if she had completely forgotten everything he had just told her, she tried to shove him away and flee in the opposite direction.
“T-too close… you got too close.”
“I told you it’s fine. You were the one who ran here in the first place.”
Instead of stepping back even half a step, he held his ground firmly, his hand soothing the small of Evelyn’s back. At the same time, his palm slid down, eagerly tracing the maddening curve of her waist—the very shape that had slipped so temptingly from his grasp earlier. Though she shivered at every touch, it was nowhere near enough to soothe the frustration still simmering inside him.
Evelyn squirmed like a skittish cat that hated being touched.
“I want to leave now. Even if we can’t hear them, they’ll sense us if we stay too close together. They’ll find us.”
“Since when do you call the shots?”
“Huh? Ah—ahh…!”
Pulling her into his arms, he pressed her back against the terrace window, her body sliding helplessly along the smooth glass from the force. He closed the distance between them in an instant, dropping to his knees and pushing his head between her thighs before she could even think to clamp them shut.
Evelyn’s eyes fluttered slowly in disbelief at the obscene sight.
“C-Cassis… sir?”
The glint in his eyes as he gazed up at her from below left no room for misunderstanding—she knew exactly what he wanted. He was going to do it here. Right here, while just behind them, knights with sharp senses crowded together, laughing and chatting—!
Even though it couldn’t be seen from the window, what if the creaking gave them away? Worried sick—keeping Cassis’ warning in mind—she pushed weakly against his shoulders with limp hands.
“Wait. Not here… ngh—!”
Cassis’ cheek pressed insistently between her thighs, which instinctively tried to clamp shut in embarrassment, rubbing against her dampening heat. Even without his lips touching her, a scalding rush of arousal surged through her. His nose twitched as he buried his face into her negligee, inhaling deeply, greedily taking in her scent. She squirmed in protest.
“Ah, no… I—I’ve been sweating. D-Don’t… smell me…!”
There was no need to call out her obvious lie. It wasn’t just sweat, and for him, taking what he wanted was as simple as deciding to. Cassis ignored her feeble resistance, pressing his face flush against her, sinking fully into the warmth between her thighs, her negligee clinging to his skin.
