Chapter 181
For a moment, her heart sank.
“…I know.”
“There’s no time to move. We have to handle this here.”
Carmen added coldly.
Ashtel looked at Payne with pity.
He still hadn’t fully regained his senses, his head buried in the floor, letting out low groans. When he heard the murmuring voices of the women, he desperately tried to cover himself.
“As… Ashtel.”
At the faint voice, Ashtel quickly lifted Payne’s head and rested it on her lap. His face, drenched in sweat and heat, had tears streaming down.
“Please… stop… let me go.”
Payne was good at holding back. Even when sad or angry, he rarely showed tears.
The only time he couldn’t hide his crying was during intimate moments.
Right now, those tears were likely caused by painful signs of corruption and unresolved pleasure—but Ashtel felt a deep, dizzying sorrow from them.
She frowned as if on the verge of tears, then hugged Payne.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, Payne.”
Sorry for leaving you in the mountains. Sorry for not finding you sooner. Sorry for loving you.
“Sisters, please step outside for a moment.”
Could a demon feel such emotions?
Ashtel recalled when Payne had fallen off the demon realm cliff. This felt similar—such overwhelming sorrow that seeing Payne made her tear up.
But then and now, Ashtel had duties. She had to soothe Payne as quickly as possible.
“I’ll settle Payne down and step outside.”
“Understood.”
“Heh, Sue, can we get rid of these?”
Moabrun pointed to the merchants outside.
A sudden surge of cruel desire flared up, but she quelled it with Payne’s groans.
Ashtel nodded, and as the sisters gradually left the stable, she brushed the sweat-matted hair from Payne’s forehead.
“Payne, it’s okay now. Try to get up.”
Still, Payne barely opened his eyes.
She carefully observed him, sensing the demonic energy rising in his throat.
Ah, it’s the curse.
Ashtel lowered her head and pressed her lips to Payne’s mouth. His lukewarm, cold skin was heated by the demon’s hot breath.
“…Ugh.”
As her familiar flesh pushed inside, Payne let out a low moan and parted his lips.
Her sweet yet sinful tongue swirled gently within him.
As the demonic energy gradually faded, Payne slowly opened his eyes.
He blinked a few times to clear his blurred vision, then furrowed his brows when he realized Ashtel was looking down at him with tears.
“You… how are you here?”
“I found you with magic. Are you alright?”
Ah, the necklace. Payne tried to reach his neck but realized his hands and feet were bound, gritting his teeth.
Memories of the torment after his kidnapping flashed through his mind. Seeing his face pale, Ashtel slowly untied his wrists and apologized.
“I’m sorry. I found you too late.”
She knew—he had tried to escape. Yet she looked at Payne with earnest eyes and whispered,
“I’m truly sorry.”
The subdued Ashtel was hard to face.
Especially now, his body was in such bad shape he couldn’t focus on anything else, so Payne looked away, unsure how to respond.
“Payne, I think I need to untie you down there. Are you okay with that?”
Fortunately, Ashtel didn’t find his silence strange.
Payne opened his mouth to say he wasn’t okay but closed it again.
No, he was definitely not okay.
He just wished no one would touch his body anymore. But no words of refusal came out.
As Ashtel gently brushed his cheek and neck, lowering her gaze, a helpless liquid emerged from his back. The fluid that trickled out revealed just how inflamed his body was.
Payne closed his eyes again, clenching his jaw tight, showing exactly how much pain he was in.
He knew his situation well—a lecherous priest ruined by a succubus, a fallen priest who abandoned Katzel’s doctrine and gave himself away.
He was saved from being sold as a slave by a demon, but it only deepened his misery.
“…Quickly.”
Surprisingly, Payne did not hate Ashtel.
The pleasure she gave was addictive, and her love was sweet.
But he was a man who had never known love.
The warm piece offered by someone was unfamiliar, difficult, and frightening.
