Chapter 217
Fortunately, the disaster of getting an e******n in front of all of Ashtel’s many sisters didn’t occur. Just as his body started to heat up, Hela swooped in to pick a fight.
“Well, look at you two, acting all lovey-dovey like you’re about to die from happiness.”
She wedged herself right between Payne and Ashtel, shooting him a sly look.
“So, how many times have you done it? Don’t tell me you spent all day sucking and licking each other?”
“What the—!”
He wanted to say no, but honestly, they had done quite a bit of sucking and licking.
Even if it was just for a day, hadn’t he pushed Ashtel to her limits? Still, he definitely didn’t want to admit that to Hela.
“Well, look at this. You’re turning beet red!”
“Come on, Sister, quit teasing!”
It was only after Ashtel pushed Hela away that Payne was finally able to recover his normal complexion.
“So, why did you all suddenly come to our house?”
“I was originally planning to meet Roman here.”
At some point, Carmen had pulled Roman—who had been standing awkwardly to the side—over to her and started fiddling with him as she explained.
“We need a magical tool to draw out the demonic energy in Pepe’s body. I came to gather the data for that, to do some measurements.”
“It’s Payne, not Pepe.”
“Same difference.”
“What kind of measurements?”
“Like, the length of your intestines.”
“Ugh.”
Not only Ashtel but Payne also stiffened at that. He glanced back and forth between Carmen and the eerily grinning Roman, finally looking at Ashtel as if pleading for help.
“Don’t worry. We’re not going to cut you open or anything.”
“Then how are you going to get what you need?”
“We’ll be using a reagent.”
That, too, sounded unsettling.
“What kind of reagent… Hey, Sis Nluie! Don’t pull my hair!”
“Jeez, your hair isn’t as nice as it used to be!”
“What? The youngest’s hair got worse?!”
Before she knew it, even the huge Matys was grabbing and inspecting Ashtel’s small head from every angle.
Of course, since she’d transformed from a succubus into a human, her hair quality would have changed.
While Ashtel was getting tossed around by her sisters, Roman approached Payne.
“Alright, then, Father. Here’s the potion I mentioned.”
“…I have to drink this?”
“Yes, but don’t worry—it won’t harm you. I even tested it on myself.”
That was somewhat reassuring. At least it wouldn’t kill him.
“It was actually kind of fun.”
Carmen added, making Payne’s expression cloud over again.
What could possibly be ‘fun’ about drinking some potion? He stared at the bottle, unmoving, until Roman urged him again.
“Go ahead, drink up.”
“….”
“Father.”
“…Alright.”
He’d have to do it. Otherwise, breaking the curse would become even harder.
Payne wiped away a nervous sweat and tilted back the vial.
At least the taste wasn’t too strange. The unpleasantly textured liquid slid down his throat, and when he’d finished, he handed the empty bottle back to Roman. The wizard clapped his hands.
“Ah, there’s one thing you should know. For the next two hours, you mustn’t e*******e.”
“…What?”
“And of course, no urination either.”
“…what?”
So nothing should be discharged through his u*****a.
“Why’s that?”
“The potion you just drank will transform into a slime inside your body. It’ll travel throughout your system and, in about two hours, be expelled through your u*****a.”
What?!
“Are you insane? You made me drink that?”
“It’s fine, really. It doesn’t hurt, and nothing bad will happen.”
That wasn’t the point.
A slime? Wasn’t that a kind of monster? Had he just swallowed a monster?
“Relax, it’s an artificial slime. There’s no risk of corruption.”
“…Haaah.”
“What’s with all the worrying? Don’t you trust our Roman?”
Trust wasn’t the issue. Roman was a mad mage who’d teamed up with demons.
Payne pinched his brow, eyes squeezed shut. Just then, Ashtel finally managed to escape from Nluie and Matys and came panting to his side.
“What’s going on? Payne, did you already drink the potion?”
“…Yeah.”
“Carmen, are you sure this is safe?”
“Of course. Anyway, let’s go inside. I want to look around your house.”
“Ugh, fine… Okay.”
Ashtel took Payne’s hand and gave it a little shake, checking if he was alright.
“You’re not hurting anywhere, are you?”
“I’m fine.”
At least, for now.
Payne felt an odd bubbling in his stomach and clenched his fist.
* * *
Ashtel’s six sisters and Roman burst into the tiny cottage, chatting and laughing loudly.
Even so, they somehow managed to fit around the table, and once everyone started raising their voices, it was complete chaos.
“Kahaha! Who’d have thought I’d ever set foot in the youngest’s newlywed home! What a day!”
