Chapter 302
It was Roina’s words, having found and awakened all the primordial fragments and regained her power and memories. Fides stared at Roina’s new appearance for a moment, then nodded slightly. He snuggled into Roina’s arms, seemingly much more at ease.
Roina held Fides in her arms and went straight into the room where Lutan was lying. Lutan was lying on the bed, sleeping peacefully. His long hair was scattered like a flowing stream on the bedding, and his pale complexion and the sporadically protruding golden and tainted black scales spoke of his condition.
He had overexerted himself in Castrello. Roina approached Lutan and stroked his body. Seeing the Lutan of the past brought a fresh wave of emotions.
His beginning was, in fact, Roina. The Roina of the past and the Roina of the present were the same person. He had loved only one person, Roina, his entire life. She was now able to confirm that.
Roina smiled happily, and without hesitation, lowered her head and placed her lips on Lutan’s. She gently bit his tender lips and pushed her tongue inside, touching his soft flesh.
A warm and soft sensation came over her momentarily. She slowly moved her energy, pushing her unique golden energy into Lutan. Slowly, but surely, she knocked on the door, just like they had driven out Ryuhyeon together back then.
She drove out Ryuhyeon’s energy and filled him with her own. Ryuhyeon’s dark and sticky energy initially surged up like thorns, trying to interfere with her, but soon, it was pushed back by Roina’s energy and began to be purified.
It turned out that she was the master of mana, having re-established and completed magic. She could easily eliminate the remnants left behind by Ryuhyeon.
At first, Lutan, who had been still as if dead, slowly but surely began to respond to her movements. His movements, which had initially been limited to twitching his fingers, slowly progressed to embracing Roina’s waist and actively sucking on her lips.
He soon pushed Roina down onto the bed and showered her with even deeper kisses. Roina responded in kind, and the two were intertwined like that for a while.
However, there was no time to leisurely enjoy the afterglow of their reunion. Roina soon placed her hands on Lutan’s shoulders and pushed him away.
“Lutan, I’ve regained those memories.”
“Roina-nim.”
“You can just call me Roina. That title was something you only started using because of the contract.”
“After living for a thousand years without you, did you expect me not to have changed? I like it this way.”
“What are you saying.”
Roina smiled slightly, then hardened her expression and continued.
“We don’t have time. The world is starting to change again. It must be Ryuhyeon’s doing.”
At Roina’s words, Lutan’s expression also hardened. He slowly raised his body and clenched and unclenched his hands. He was probably checking if his power had returned.
“Our contract has become stronger.”
“Yes, that’s right. I’ve been to see you from a thousand years ago.”
“A thousand years ago.”
Lutan chuckled, as if recalling his past self. Then, he got up completely and tidied his attire.
As he spread his hands and shook off his clothes, his comfortable tunic transformed into the robes of a Grand Magician. Upon closer inspection, it was similar in design to the robes Roina had worn when she first became a Grand Magician. Roina looked at him with a renewed sense of wonder.
Roina also got up and gently took Lutan’s hand. He intertwined his fingers with Roina’s and squeezed them tightly. As if he would never let go again. Roina suppressed the fluttering in her heart and said.
“Now, let’s go. To stop him, Ryuhyeon.”
Lutan and Roina looked at each other and nodded resolutely.
