Chapter 146
Psyche’s eyelids trembled. She was terrified. Of the man who had suddenly turned fierce. His face distorted like a demon, and his massive, muscular body pinning her down. She felt helpless, knowing she couldn’t push him away no matter how much she struggled. She turned pale, shaking violently, then burst into tears.
“Hic, ah, I’m, I’m sca-scared. Please don’t do this…….”
“Ha…….”
Rezus looked down at Psyche with a complicated expression for a long time, then quietly got off the bed. He was about to leave the room, but his feet wouldn’t move easily. The desperately suppressed crying sounds that couldn’t fully rise seemed to bind his feet.
“Hic……, mmph…….”
Rezus stood awkwardly in the middle of the bedroom, tightly clenching his fists. He knew that for Psyche to calm down, he needed to disappear from her sight. And calling Serdin would make her feel better faster.
But he didn’t want to. Just imagining Serdin holding her in his arms and comforting her was unpleasant, and even murderous intent toward Serdin boiled up inside him.
He let out a hollow laugh. It was ridiculous. He himself had ordered the other men to violate Psyche. But now he felt murderous just imagining her in Serdin’s arms? Had he gone mad from lack of sleep?
Recently, he hadn’t been able to sleep due to self-loathing. Perhaps that’s why his emotions had been running wild these past few days. Without proper sleep, he couldn’t be in his right mind.
Yes, wanting to kill Serdin, fantasizing about what if he were the only man Psyche relied on instead of Serdin, wanting to turn back time—all of it. It must be because he hadn’t slept.
“Ugh, cold, hic…….”
His self-mocking laughter stopped when she shivered and pitifully curled up her body. Forgetting he was about to leave, Rezus immediately approached Psyche and embraced her. His body moved before his mind. As he stood there stiffly, unable to believe his own actions, Psyche began pushing him away frantically.
“No, get away……!”
“…….”
“Don’t touch me, it’s dirty, disgusting……!”
“…….”
“Urgh, go, hic, away, I said……!”
Rezus, who had silently endured her pushing and hitting, only reacted when Psyche, writhing violently, almost hit her hand against the bed headboard. He pulled her sharply into his arms. It was with such force that Psyche couldn’t move at all.
“……Please.”
A voice that sounded almost strangled settled dampness in the bedroom.
“I’m only trying to share warmth with you.”
“Hic, no, I said no……! Serdin! Serdin please help me……!”
“The more you call that bastard’s name, the more I want to kill him, so please.”
For a moment, she hesitated.
“Just stay still.”
The room instantly became quiet as if time had stopped. Soon, Psyche’s breathing gradually became rougher, and she spat out curses mixed with tears.
“You’re crazy……. Hic, disgusting, I feel like throwing up, I really hate this, repulsive…….”
But Rezus’s expression didn’t change at all as he simply cupped his palm under her chin. Raising her upper body as if to help her vomit comfortably, and even changing position to hold her from behind.
“Go ahead and vomit. I’ll catch it all.”
“Get this aw-, urgh……!”
Psyche couldn’t even finish telling him to get away. Her waist bent involuntarily as warm fluid surged up. Translucent liquid poured onto his large palm. After repeating this just a few more times, all her energy was drained.
Rezus wiped the corner of her mouth with his other hand as she just breathed heavily in a daze. Then he went to the wash table to clean his hands and returned to her with two cups. One was empty, and one was filled with water.
Psyche was about to ignore Rezus’s instruction to rinse her mouth but obediently followed his words. Even in her completely exhausted state, the bitter taste lingering in her mouth bothered her. After spitting the water into the empty cup, she felt thirsty. As she reached for the pitcher, Rezus stopped her.
“You shouldn’t drink water now. You’ll end up vomiting everything.”
“What do you care if I vomit or not. Let go.”
“When I say you can’t, you can’t.”
Psyche felt something rising inside her with an “ugh.”
“Who are you to care! Let go of this!”
Despite struggling, hitting and scratching his arm wildly, her complete lack of strength made it essentially no different than flailing at empty air. Even that exhausted her, and as she briefly caught her breath, Rezus cradled her head against his chest.
“……Just 10 minutes.”
Her cheek pressed gently against his solid chest. The hand wrapping around her lower back was careful.
“Let’s just endure 10 minutes like this. Then I’ll let you drink water as you want, and I’ll call Serdin too.”
