Chapter 6
The demon, hit in the eye by the magic wand, shrieked with a strange sound and collapsed limply to the ground. The demon’s roots went limp, and the people who had been tied up were freed and could be seen running away frantically.
“Good, now for the finishing blow……!”
Heesu waited for the demon to get back up.
“…….”
She waited.
“…….”
But no matter how long she waited, the demon didn’t get back up.
“……I-is it over?! Why is it so weak?”
The man ran over to Heesu, who was looking at it as if dumbfounded, and expressed admiration.
“To see through the demon’s weakness at once and strike it precisely, truly the chosen one……!”
“I was just lucky.”
Though she thought something was strange, Heesu cleared her throat while trying to maintain a humble expression. The situation was a bit ridiculous, but she wanted to just move on. She had just become a magical girl and won her first victory, so she didn’t want to spoil the mood.
She had just hit it without much thought, but she wanted to believe that because she was the ‘chosen one’ as the man said, she had seen through the demon’s weakness at a glance and struck precisely, and that although she had just swung the magic wand, she had unconsciously attacked with tremendous magical power. No, that must have been it.
“Excellent. Even though this was just your first battle, you really fought well.”
When the man praised her, Heesu felt even more proud inside. It seemed like her magical girl debut had been successfully accomplished.
She was happy. She had finally become the magical girl she had desperately dreamed of. From now on, she would fight against all kinds of villains like this, be active, save the world, and even meet destined love. Heesu believed without doubt that such a story full of dreams, hope, and love would unfold before her. Until then.
“Huh……?”
It seemed like the root lying at her feet twitched slightly. The moment Heesu felt that and frowned:
“KEEEEEEEK!!”
The demon opened its red eyes again.
“Eek!!”
When she made eye contact with the monster right in front of her, Heesu shrieked and stepped backward.
“I-it opened its eyes?!”
“Yes. Because it’s not dead.”
Unlike such a Heesu, the man nodded calmly.
“Do I have to fight again……!”
Heesu spiritedly gripped the magic wand in her hand and took an attack stance. Perhaps because she had gained confidence from earlier, she struck quite a impressive pose, but embarrassingly for that pose, the demon didn’t budge at all. It just blinked its red eyes clearly. Maybe it was her imagination, but the gaze that stared only at her seemed to feel gentler than before, unlike earlier.
“You don’t need to fight again. Since it has already been defeated in battle, it will now follow you as its master.”
“M-master?!”
Heesu was bewildered by what the man said beside her. She became even more bewildered when the monster that had been blinking actually moved its body slightly up and down. It seemed like it had nodded as if agreeing after hearing Izzen’s words.
The monster was still looking only at Heesu. Behind the monster, the root-like things moved around in various ways. It wasn’t threatening movements like before, but movements that felt like a puppy wagging its tail. However, for Heesu, it would only be troublesome to have such a monster follow her as its master, even if it wasn’t a puppy.
How on earth should I handle this? There had never been such a development in any of the magical girl stories she had watched…….
One of the roots quietly extended toward the ankle of the contemplating Heesu and gradually wrapped around it.
“Huh!”
When Heesu belatedly noticed this fact and tried to pull her ankle out in alarm, the man stopped her.
“There’s nothing to be afraid of. It’s showing affection.”
“Af-affection?”
“Yes. Just like how dogs and cats rub against their owners…….”
“Ugh……!”
As if his words were correct, the root moved and rubbed against Heesu’s ankle. It would have been really nice if that sensation had been fluffy and soft like dogs and cats, but since it was smooth and moist like a reptile, it was creepy rather than cute, making her shudder. Heesu shuddered and looked at the man beside her.
“Surely…… it’s not going to keep following me around from now on, calling me master, is it?”
To her question asked with a literal “surely not” feeling, the man tilted his head as if wondering why she would ask such a thing.
“Why wouldn’t it?”
The next moment, the root wrapped around her ankle tightened, and her body floated up into the air.
“Kyaa!!”
In an instant, her head turned downward and her field of vision flipped upside down. Her clothes also flipped, clearly exposing her thighs, b******s, and panties to the outside. Heesu screamed and flailed about.
“W-why is this happening?!”
Even in this situation, the man remained completely calm.

As her thoughts reached that point, a suspicion flashed through Heesu’s mind. As if to prove that suspicion, another root that had extended headed toward Heesu’s chest.
“Ah!!”
In an instant, the tip of that root burrowed between her cleavage. The frills that had been precariously covering her flesh moved downward, causing her b***s to bounce and spill outward. Soon that root wrapped around the circumference of her b*****s in a circle.

Heesu cried out in despair.
