Chapter 64
Even if I went back to the past, I wouldn’t bother researching the loopholes in the vow of chastity.
Thinking that, as I chewed on the fig, Celesto asked an out-of-the-blue question.
“Did he ever ask you to do it with him?”
“Huh?”
I paused mid-swallow and asked back.
“Why? You’ve been asking all sorts of strange things since earlier.”
“…Nothing important. Just something came to mind.”
His expression said it was clearly something important.
Eventually, I sifted through my distant memories. Because my friend’s lustful brother had been making advances for quite some time.
“Hmm… He did say things like that from a while back.”
“…Since when?”
“Right after our coming-of-age ceremony?”
“…”
*Crack.*
I heard the sound of Celesto grinding his molars.
“…Then why didn’t you?”
The question that came after a long while was of a kind Celesto could never have imagined hearing from his own lips.
“I’m not sure, but… women liked Leocel, didn’t they?”
“Huh? Did they?”
I propped my chin on my hand and recalled Leocel’s qualifications.
Come to think of it, there was no element that would make him unpopular. He was decent-looking, smart, and skilled enough with his fingers to satisfy a woman.
But there was a big problem between us.
“I don’t have s*x with friends.”
I answered, genuinely shuddering.
Although I didn’t have that much experience with men, I knew well that the most annoying type were those who, while claiming to be friends, subtly expected s*x.
Those who just had s*x and left were actually better.
Every single bastard who tried to leap into a romantic relationship after sleeping with me had made my life exhausting.
Of course, I didn’t know if Leocel was that kind of man.
But I couldn’t be sure he wasn’t. I’m not very good at judging people.
‘If you can’t tell the difference, isn’t it better not to try at all?’
Besides, I had never thought of Leocel in that way to begin with.
…Speaking of which, why is he acting like that?
“…”
I carefully rolled my eyes.
After that answer, Celesto had been completely silent. Not a word, not even the sound of breathing.
But one thing was certain. He was incredibly… angry.
‘What is it, really?’
I shrank into a corner of the bed and swallowed my breath.
Fortunately or unfortunately, Celesto soon ended the silence.
“I’m leaving.”
Celesto abruptly stood up and walked out of the bedroom in an instant.
Having left the bedroom with a slam loud enough to echo, Celesto ran down the stairs making an even louder ruckus.
After the thundering, violent footsteps faded completely I looked at the tray he had left behind and muttered.
“I thought he’d become a decent person… but he’s getting angry over the strangest things.”
