Chapter 5.11
Judy Esther looked at the sleeping Richard. Despite being from a rough coastal kingdom, he had fair skin, unlike most people who had tanned complexions. Maybe it was the halo effect of being the male lead.
His eyelashes are so long. She gently traced his eyebrows with her fingers.
She traced across his cheeks down to his lips. There wasn’t a single part that wasn’t handsome.
“You’re handsome.”
“If you like me, can I kiss you?”
His arms stretched out and wrapped around her waist, trapping her in his embrace in an instant.
“Your Highness, you’re awake?”
“With you touching me like that, how could I possibly stay asleep?”
His low, husky voice, fresh from sleep, was decadent. Her face turned bright red instantly. It wasn’t because she had any improper thoughts.
“Luckily, my face is to your liking. You don’t slap my cheek even though I’m lying next to you without permission.”
“Wouldn’t slapping Your Highness result in summary punishment? I don’t want to die so meaninglessly.”
The face of Richard, who had just woken up right in front of her, was like a cheat code. Judy Esther couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by his powerful charm.
“You sobered up from the alcohol and returned to formal speech.”
“What?”
“It seems like we’ve grown distant, which is a shame. But I can’t keep making you drink either.”
Richard seemed to be seriously considering something.
“And as I said yesterday, I won’t kill you with my own hands.”
He moved up on her. The old bed creaked, and the sound seemed somewhat e****c. Was she a pervert for thinking that? Judy Esther moistened her lips with her tongue. Richard began to gently caress her nape with his long fingers.
“On the contrary, I fear that you will kill me.”
“……?”
“You dragged me to the inn, saying you wanted to be on top of me.”
His expression was serious, so it seemed she had indeed said that while drunk. Maybe she should quit drinking, as she was causing trouble without even realizing it.
“You got me all excited, then passed out. Do you have any idea how hard that was for me?”
Richard’s touch was unbearably gentle as he skimmed down her neck
Even the light touch on her neck made her skin feel like it was burning. She could feel his hardness pressing against her lower abdomen. She looked into Richard’s golden eyes and kissed his cheek firmly.
“This is a reward for enduring well. Can we kill it after breakfast?”
“……Was that a joke? Are you really going to do it?”
As she spoke, she wondered if his face was turning red. The male lead was so innocent. Judy Esther felt embarrassed, thinking she had corrupted him by being a wicked woman.
“Since I said it, I have to keep my word.”
As Judy Esther smiled and spoke playfully, Richard rolled his eyes and smiled.
He had said it was his first time too. After awakening him sexually, it would be a waste to give him to Ella. Maybe they should run away to the countryside together. If they hid for a year, the original story might change so much that it would be a genre change.
“Your Highness, how about we do some rural living? We can raise cows, horses, and sheep, and have children together.”
“You’ve progressed a lot. You used to run away from me, but now you’re suggesting we run away together.”
“Do you like it or not?”
“I’m still adjusting to how bold you’ve become.”
Richard seemed to be in a good mood.
“I’m all for running away, but let’s go to the palace first.”
“Why?”
“To write a contract.”
“What contract?”
“A contract promising not to kill you.”
Judy Esther thought Richard looked radiant, as he caught the sunlight streaming through the window. For a moment, she wondered if he might be an angel.
“……”
“Even if I’d said it, you wouldn’t believe me. So I thought putting it in writing might make you trust and believe me.”
Judy Esther looked dumbfounded. Was this how it felt to win the lottery? No, it was incomparable. If she let this slip away, she would regret it for the rest of her life.
“You promised. No take-backs.”
“I’ll write it properly at the palace. Even if Judy Esther Emers commits any crime, no matter how severe, I, Richard Adrian, swear to pardon her. Will this suffice?”
“Will you really write it like that?”
“I promise, on my honor.”
His lazy golden eyes stared at her unwaveringly. This was not the empty boast of a playboy but a promise from the Crown Prince of Adrian. Her mind raced.
“Judy Esther Emers. Since becoming the Crown Prince, I have never made light a promise to anyone. I know the weight of my words, so I’ve never made frivolous jokes. My position is such that I must take responsibility for every word that leaves my lips.”
Yesterday’s words echoed in her mind, making her heart pound as if it might burst.
